    Escalator Step Installation Instructions

    1. Pre-Installation Safety & Preparation
    • Cut off the escalator main power supply and hang a safety warning sign to prevent accidental startup.
    • Prepare matching escalator steps, shaft pins, circlips, professional wrenches and safety protective gear.
    • Inspect new steps for surface cracks, broken treads or deformed mounting holes; confirm model compatibility.
    • Check step rollers and chain mounting holes for wear, jamming or damage before installation.
    1. Dismantle the Old Step
    • Move the target step to the maintenance access position by manual rotation.
    • Remove the circlip and shaft pin that fix the step to the step chain.
    • Detach the old step from the chain and guide track gently.
    • Clean the chain mounting hole and check for deformation or severe abrasion.
    1. New Step Installation
    • Place the new step into the guide track, align the mounting holes with the step chain accurately.
    • Insert the shaft pin through the step and chain hole completely.
    • Install the circlip into the shaft groove for firm locking to prevent falling off during operation.
    • Manually rotate the step to confirm flexible movement without shaking or jamming.
    1. Position Adjustment & Inspection
    • Adjust the step gap to ensure uniform spacing between adjacent steps.
    • Check the engagement between step tread and comb plate, no scraping or collision.
    • Manually drive the escalator for a full cycle operation to verify smooth running.
    1. Test Run & Safety Notes
    • Restore all covers and remove the safety warning sign after manual inspection.
    • Power on and run the escalator with no load for 15 minutes, recheck step operation status.
    • All installation work must be performed by certified professional technicians.
    • Stop operation immediately if abnormal noise, jamming or step deviation occurs.
